I traveled to London for the day in December 2015. I had organised to met Estella Castle at the Royal Academy so that we could visit the Ai Weiwei exhibition together. Estella and I first met at art school in NZ over 10 years ago... she lives in London now and I've hardly seen her over the last five years. We waded through the sea of people, I could barely see the artwork but when I finally did it took my breath away. One work in particular, "Straight, 2008–12" mas monumental in size and still managed to speak with many voices, never diminishing or minimalising the narrative.
