Hi All,
I’d like to invite you to a short walking tour as part of my 30 Day Sketch Project. As you already know, I interviewed Peter Livsey a short while ago. Peter is a volunteer researcher on a project called Reflections of Newcastle 1914-1918 and has offered to take a small group on a walking tour of his research. We will visualise Newcastle as it was in the WW1 era by spotting left-over clues in the architecture and signage of the city.
Details: This Friday, 20th November 2015. 10.30am sharp at the Lit & Phil foyer. The tour will start at the Station, focus on Grainger Street and finish at Grey’s Monument. Please let me know if you’re keen so I can give Peter the numbers to expect.
“Reflections of Newcastle 1914-18 is a Lit & Phil collaboration with Northumbria University, Newcastle College and November Club to explore the intellectual, cultural and social life of Newcastle during the First World War, concentrating in and around the Lit & Phil.” For more information please see reflectionsofnewcastle.wordpress.com/about/
Thanks!
